This work by Italian Renaissance painter Paolo Veronese, a fresco painted between 1560-1561, represents Fortuna, the Roman goddess of fate and hope, and Saturn, who symbolizes time. Veronse’s (1528-1588) fresco is in Villa Barbaro, located in the Italian province of Treviso, designed by Italian architect Andrea Palladio for the Barbaro brothers, its greatest patrons, and declared World Heritage by UNESCO since 1996.
