Teresa Paiva took part in the European Sleep Congress, held in Italy, city of Bologna, from 13 to 16 September, covering topics such as narcolepsy, delayed sleep phase syndrome, insomnia, exercise and sleep in the elderly.
The Congress program was intense, with hundreds of interventions on sleep studies and research by experts from around the world. Europe was the most represented continent, but there were researchers from the four corners of the globe, including Asia, America and Oceania.
The Electroencephalography Center and Clinical Neurophysiology – CENC was also represented by researchers Cátia Reis, who presented two studies, “The best tool to assess the delayed sleep phase” and “Clinical and biological aspects of a population with an advanced sleep phase” and Catarina Mestre, with a work on “Perception mistakes of sleep duration in patients with insomnia”.
